A guachinche is a traditional Canarian eatery, typical above all of the north of Tenerife, where the winegrower sells the wine from their own harvest along with home-cooked food: goat meat, ribs with potatoes and corn on the cob, carne fiesta, escaldón, grilled cheese or wrinkled potatoes with mojo.
Many guachinches only open a few days a week, mostly from Thursday to Sunday and at lunchtime, and some close for a season when the wine runs out. Each guachinche's page shows its daily opening hours and any temporary closures.
