A group of 10 friends and I went today. The food was spectacular, the service excellent, and the price reasonable. A top-notch place to eat.

Delicious homemade food with friendly service.

Very good fried cheeses and garlic shrimp.

The service was awful. As soon as we arrived, they told us they would serve us, but that they closed at 6:00 PM sharp and wouldn't wait a minute longer. We arrived at 4:15 PM, sat down, and ordered drinks, a Tropical soda, and a pitcher. Instead of the Tropical soda, they brought us a non-alcoholic lemon beer. We politely asked, "We ordered a Tropical soda," and they said, "No, what's that?" We let it go. Then we asked for a high chair, which they never brought. We also asked for salt, which the… See more

Despite being extremely busy and seemingly running it all herself... A hard worker and professional, the food was good and the place was fine; I recommend it to experience a typical Guanchinche.

We went on a recommendation and ended up quite disappointed. The service was slow for the few tables that were occupied, and the food was a disaster. The grilled cheese was chewy, and the escaldón was awful. A real shame.

It says they have limpets, but they don't have them after we made a table reservation two days in advance. They take someone's phone number, and I don't know why, because they don't notify us. They can't have a regular clientele like that. Then they don't have updated prices on the physical menu. And they take ages to bring the food, even though there were only a few of us and it was a Monday.

A tiny, atmospheric family restaurant on the outskirts of Santa Cruz. An ancient structure carved into the rock. Incredibly atmospheric.

What a disappointment! I used to enjoy eating here, but from now on I'll think twice about coming back or recommending it because it's unbelievable. I ordered a "secreto" (a cut of pork shoulder) and specifically asked the waitress, "Please give me the finest, well-cooked secreto you have," and she replied, "I'm not in the kitchen." (Like, if you get a thick cut, tough luck.) Besides that, I ordered a sirloin steak with mushroom sauce to go, and they didn't have any. I swapped it for a secreto, … See more

Everything was great, and the Galician waitress was lovely.
